Arguably, the creation of VKontakte stands as one of the most defining turning points in Pavel Durov’s life. It wasn’t just another social network - it became a digital space embraced by hundreds of millions around the world, maintaining its relevance for years in an ever-shifting online landscape. What still resonates most, though, is its early charm: the original design and first prototypes, whose simplicity and raw authenticity left a lasting impression that many users remember with genuine fondness.
That's why we decided to recreate the old VK concept, but in a modern way and with a certain utility, and all this goes under the name VTONTAKTE. And yes, we decided to bring back that very wall that users so requested back in 2010.

In 2010, Durov significantly changed the site's interface, removing the familiar "wall" (a feed of posts on a user's page), which previously looked like an open message board. Users weren't thrilled and began posting comments and posts en masse along the lines of: "Durov, bring back the wall!" or «Дуров, верни стену!».
What actually you can do using VTONTAKTE?
Anyone can create a token page for just 5 TON - instantly becoming part of the global wall. Every new token appears on the main feed and is discoverable through search, making visibility immediate and permissionless.
Each token gets its own “wall” - a space where you can post as the token itself. Others can join the conversation too, turning every page into a social hub. You can customize it with photo albums, build a following, and shape its identity however you want.
But it’s competitive. Tokens battle for attention on a live leaderboard, where position is determined by votes. Each vote costs 0.1 TON, and the more votes a token earns, the higher it climbs. Visibility becomes a game of strategy, community, and momentum.
Also ownership isn’t permanent. Any token can be acquired by someone else at 2× its last price. That means control over a page - and the ability to speak in its name - can change hands at any moment. It creates a dynamic, almost game-like economy where people compete not just for visibility, but for influence itself.
