Brown is a guy who can come in for different alignments, higher level backup and also real solid teams player. Didn't give up any draft capital and moved only 8 picks in 4th. 6th round was little more but those are flyer

@Everett_G07 @votanoel2024 There wasn’t many contracts to touch. You can only restructure a contract once in a rolling year. Terry had already touched all the big ones last year in late march/april so they weren’t available. Mathew’s actually hit year and day exactly on day they did it. Was only choice.

For those of you that think this is similar to when Terry took over. It’s not even close. Terry was literally strapped, so he had to go bargain shopping to fill the roster. Ian could’ve EASILY created enough space to make a few splash signings. That means this was intentional
