Ben Kaiser of Versailles became the first freshman in OHSAA history to be crowned heavyweight state champion yesterday A FRESHMAN HEAVYWEIGHT Kid is an absolute animal. I’m not sure if he plays football… if he does, I imagine he’s pretty good at that too Simply incredible 🥇

Ben Kaiser (Versailles) has just become the heaviest weight class freshman to win an Ohio state title. He wins 4-3 over Chris Timms (INdian Lake). Beat him for the third time in as many weeks. First titlte for Versailles since 1989, third ever.

Pending school board approval on March 17th, the Athletic Department is excited to announce Mike Goubeaux as our new 7-12 Boys and Girls Cross Country Coach.

🚨 STATE CHAMPION ALERT Versailles freshman Ben Kaiser gets a takedown with 0:45 left to win the 285 pound State Title! Kaiser beat senior Christopher Timms (Indian Lake), who finishes as State Runner-Up for the 2nd straight year.

North Star Fire Department will be escorting State Champion Ben Kaiser, 3rd place Trent Huber, 6th place Landyn Knapke, and state qualifier Cole Brewer. Time appr. Midnight. Starting at Cottonwood, to Yorkshire, through North Star. Thanks to the NS FD! Line the streets!
