Update on this: The popup is normal and you should just press "Yes". Steam sometimes re-checks required redistributables after an app update, which is why it may appear. After pressing "Yes", it should not show again unless VTS is updated, reinstalled, or its files are verified. Running Steam's "Verify integrity of software files" option also makes the popup appear again because Steam treats VTS as newly installed afterward. The integrity check may also say that 5 files failed to validate. This happens because VTS updates the configuration files of the 5 included default models when it starts. Since those files are part of the VTube Studio app, Steam sees them as modified and re-downloads the original versions during verification. This is harmless and does not mean your VTS installation is corrupted. By the way, if you ever want to check what files Steam downloads or re-downloads after an integrity check, you can check "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\logs\content_log.txt" (or wherever your Steam is installed)

VTUBERS HELP!!! Has anyone else’s vtube studio done this recently? Mine and my friends are having this issue with vts where when we hit launch it comes up with a steam service pop up asking us to install script (runasadmin.vdf)! When we hit yes it’ll launch normally back to back no problems at all! But when we verify integrity it says 5 failed files! Then when we launch the game again it’ll give us the steam pop up again- if we hit no it’ll open up fine but I’m unsure if it’s missing files! Also everytime we open it it’ll ask us to install the script multiple times- does anyone know why it’s doing this??
