@TamaMagatama Oh wow... Yeah, this was implemented before people started putting a billion textures into their models 🥴 This should be fixed in the public beta (1.35.3) now though so feel free to give that a try.

Hey uhhh @VTubeStudio I think I found a a problem LMAO
I updated my texture atlus to be smaller but there are more images now and... well I guess I can't update my model via the external application integration in Live2D 😅😅😅

English

@malummiivt Please definitely open a thread then. I'd like to figure out what causes this.

@VTubeStudio I thought they were ! but it stopped the glitch for me and a few of my friends ;-; I also tried it on another pc as well and it did the trick

【✨】 VTube Studio 1.35.2 is now released - A small update for the SFX system:
1⃣ - You can now automatically stop sound effects when a hotkey is deactivated 🎶🛑
2⃣ - There is a new hotkey type to toggle the volume for a model or Live2D item on/off 🔇↔️🔊

【📢】 VTube Studio 1.35.0 is now released!! This update adds a fully dynamic, reactive sound effect system!! 🔊🎶🥁 🧵👇

VTS will always overwrite external .vtube.json file changes when a model is unloaded, since it re-saves the file to store metadata such as the model position. Modifying the file while VTS uses the model is always going to have unexpected results.
VTS only actually reads that file once when loading the model. So the only way to reliably modify the model file would be to unload the model, then make the changes and then load it again. That could easily be done via the VTS API though, so that's probably the way to go.
If you need help with that, please make a thread in the VTS Discord and @ me there (denchi)

Dear @VTubeStudio and @DenchiSoft, as a developer I'm begging 🙏 for some insight/regarding the following struggle I'm having with VTS 😭
Context: I have a fully functional Piano playing Vtuber model with 36 hotkeys mapped to each piano key press.
I wrote something (janky) in Python that reads in the .vtube json dictionary and changes all 36 hotkeys triggers according to what I need... But after the latest patches, the hotkey changes don't stick like they used to ;-;
This program was functional before the end of March updates 😭 I've read through your git/dev docs regarding the vtube json file to see if there was something protecting the files, but I didn't see anything (PLEASE tell me if I missed something. Reading hard.)
How I typically run VTS:
- Via a batch script that opens up VTS using the -nosteam flag
Things I've tried so far:
- Initially I thought it was Steam's cloud backups (despite running it with -nosteam flag) reverting my changes, so I shut off Steam's Cloud Backups
- I invoke the python file using elevated Powershell
- I do see that the .vtube json file is modified, but when i reload the model it reverts to what it was prior
- I have tried having the model loaded > run python hotkey modification > 2x reload model > and SOMETIMES this works but not always and I can't pinpoint what allows it to succeed sometimes.
- But more successfully i unload the model > run the hotkey modification > then reload the model back in and the hotkeys are all set.
Is there a more graceful way to do this so that I don't have to keep loading and unloading my model mid stream when I need to make a lot of changes to my piano hotkeys?
Any insights are deeply appreciated 🙇♀️🙇♀️🙇♀️

📝 One more note about sending sound to OBS:
VTube Studio can use VBAN to send sound output directly to OBS without playing it back or needing a virtual audio cable. It's extremely easy to use and very convenient.
All you need is the OBS VBAN plugin (it's basically like Spout2 but for audio) 🎵

📝About the sound effect system:
You can set up sound effects and trigger them manually using hotkeys or have them fire automatically based on your model movement (Live2D parameter values).
There's a ton of trigger options and customization: volume and pitch control based on parameter movement speed, echo/reverb, playback chance and cooldowns, anti-repeat randomization, spatial audio with stereo panning based on model/item position, and much more.
Sound effects are extremely important for immersion in video games, so why shouldn't VTubers have them as well? Fair warning though, proper sound design is hard and setting up dynamic sound triggers for items/models can be a lot of work if you want them to sound good. But if done right, it can be absolutely worth it!! So please give it a try!! 💖
I want to see what everyone comes up with using this, so please @ me if you make something cool!! ✨

Coming soon!
Someone requested a sleeved version of my exisiting controller asset a few weeks ago and with the timing and the new vtube studio native controller support, I decided it was time for an overall upgrade!
I still have a few kinks to work through but I have huge respect for live2d artists working on a controller asset right now because the parameters ( along with the amount of things that go wrong ) are crazy with this one.
Anyways so excited for all these new updates, stick to the end of the video to see all the customization options!
Oh and this is with 0 camera tracking and best used with gyro controller!

@MintyMewVT Is it a DualShock 4 or DualSense controller? Those are the only supported ones for controller orientation. And it should work automatically, no setup needed.
Maybe you're running VTS with Steam Input enabled? That may prevent VTS from being able to access the orientation data.
English

@VTubeStudio Awesome update, got a question, I followed the instructions best I could, I do button config it never asks me to move the axis, so the controller never leans, I am using a PS4 controller and it shows the ball moving just never the controller itself am I missing something
English

@ladydandeliion I don't think that's possible unfortunately. But you can just add a second capture for it in OBS: if you use a Game Capture source with transparent background, it will properly capture the controller UI, and then you can just crop/resize it in OBS so it fits into your scene.
English

@VTubeStudio question for you! Love the update, it's amazing and honestly I love it, but any chance we can have this window showing up in spout? or maybe a item of this? I know there are people who like having their controler imput showing like this :3

English

@shiroshio0507 Thanks for reporting, I will take a look. Some VFX may not work well with "custom resolution" screenshots at the moment. There should be no issue when using the normal window resolution though.
English

@VTubeStudio Just checking, is this a known issue?
Enabling VFX blur in VTube Studio 1.33.2 results in vertical interference lines similar to a Moiré pattern in screenshots.

English

@PawwaPDC Possibly! If that error started appearing after the last update, it will probably work again now.

Finally, huge thanks to the people who helped with this update!! 💖
@7MC_Official for making the controller asset!
@WFN_Art for helping a lot with testing/debugging!!
@GiruteaCafe for the super cute art used in the controller config UI ✨
English

For the controller support, VTS allows you to completely re-map your controller inputs, so it is recommended to use it without Steam Input 🎮 Please try turning it off (for VTS specifically) if you run into issues.
