The District African American Parent Advisory Council will hold its annual Black History Month Extravaganza on Monday, February 2 at 5 p.m. in the Adelanto High School Performing Arts Center. This fun and free event is open to ALL families in our district community!

VVUHSD employs 67 veterans, and for the past three years the district has honored these employees with a small token of our appreciation for Veterans Day. On Monday, staff and board members visited veterans across the district. Thank you to all veterans in our district community!

Congrats to the students, staff and families of the Victor Valley Union High School District! According to data released by the state, VVUHSD has the highest percentage of students meeting or exceeding state standards of any local district with at least 300 H.S. students!

There are still appointments available for tomorrow’s immunization clinic at the VVUHSD District Office from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The clinic provides immunizations to children under 18 in grades TK through 12. Visit healow.com/apps/provider/… to make an appointment.

Due to investigation of a traffic collision near Victor Valley High School, student drop-off will be conducted only in the area behind the school near the football stadium this morning. Students who are on foot will be allowed to enter at the back gate near VV Adult School.

VVUHSD has formally entered into a new partnership with Cal State San Bernardino to fast track students into university acceptance. The Direct Admission program will remove some of the challenges in the admission process for our seniors! @CSUSBNews @CSUSBAdmissions

At Thursday's Board Meeting, @LakeviewLeaders Senior Parker Rockcole was sworn in as our newest student board member. Student board members join the Board of Trustees each meeting to help conduct district business and to express student views. Welcome aboard, Parker!

At Thursday's Board Meeting, the inaugural swearing in ceremony was held for VVUHSD Explorer Post 760. This program was created by the @vvuhsdpd to give our students a chance to explore careers in public safety and law enforcement. Congrats to our 1st class of cadets!

It's been 24 years since the attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001. It was a tragic day but also a day of heroism, with first responders saving countless lives and the passengers of United 93 preventing a 3rd attack. Let us never forget their sacrifice.
