@ThePetalsAwait @muncorner If I have to pick just one, it would be Her (2013). It’s not loud or dramatic, but it sits with you quietly afterward. There’s something about how it captures loneliness, connection, and the way people try to be close to something they can’t fully hold onto. What about you?
English

@muncorner Do you have any movie recommendation that you think are deeply connected to you?
English

@Rhaenvrae Honestly, it’s pretty much become a daily routine. At this point in my life—no longer that young anymore—the older I get, the more things I find myself thinking about and worrying over.
Haha, yes it is! Valar Morghulis, Valar Dohaeris. Btw, why are you still awake?
English

@VaIarmorghu Indeed. Are you familiar of such situation in any way, Kael?
Good that I noticed then. 😁 Anyway, your username is inspired by… ASOIAF?
English

@http_pitt @muncorner That actually sounds like a pretty solid combo of lazy-but-happy cooking day. I’m lowkey curious about the kue ketawa… the name is so cute, I’ve never heard of it before. What does it taste like? I’m doing alright too, just keeping things chill.
English

@muncorner TMI: I’m making a no-bake Nextar cheesecake because I’m lazy as hell 😭 and also kue ketawa, it’s kinda like onde-onde, but crispier. I also bought a kebab because I’ve been craving something savory! Honestly, I’m just enjoying my day so far. How about you?
English

@reminische @muncorner Sounds like a very real post-dinner situation.. the couch always wins in the end. Hope you manage to escape it soon and get to your shower though. Or.. do you already did?
English

@muncorner Just had a hearty dinner/early suhoor and, at the moment, the couch is holding me hostage thus I can't get in the shower yet.

And that’s actually the main reason I suddenly followed you.. kind of sad, honestly. I was enjoying the conversation, but it got interrupted because my account is acting up. Still, I’m glad you noticed.
English

@Rhaenvrae Yeah, I get what you mean… it’s like your mind is trying to help you stay on track, but at the same time it doesn’t really know when to slow down. So it ends up feeling a bit overwhelming even though the intention is good.

@DrenchedLetter @muncorner Sounds nice… I might take you up on that coffee companion role. What do you usually end up thinking about at night when everything gets quiet?
English

@muncorner Please do, I have been needing that one pal I can talk with while I drink my coffee (or tea), i’m a night owl with a hundred thoughts if you’re wondering..
English

@sjahrich @muncorner +
so… I’ve never really gotten myself to press play, haha. So I can’t really choose between it and Oppenheimer.
What about you.. if you had to rewatch one, which one would you go for?
English

@sjahrich @muncorner Honestly, I haven’t watched Inception yet. I’ve wanted to for a long time, but somehow it feels like I need the right mental preparation for it, like I already know it’s going to be one of those “demanding” films that kind of drains you in a good way,

@Rhaenvrae @muncorner Yeah, I kinda get that. Nighttime has this way of pulling all the thoughts forward, even the ones you thought you already set aside. Anyway, is it more like you’re reflecting, or just your mind running on its own without you really wanting it to?
English

@muncorner It’s another evening of thinking about what the future holds and what I should do in order to achieve my end goals. Nighttime always calls for unnecessarily heavy thoughts, I suppose.
English

@bloomaelia @muncorner It doesn’t really disappear right away, ofcourse. But I let myself adjust slowly into the quiet. Do you feel that empty feeling often?
English

@bloomaelia @muncorner What helps me is doing small things first, like taking a shower, changing clothes, and playing some music or a podcast so the silence doesn’t hit me all at once. Then I try to keep myself gently occupied, eating while watching something or texting someone I feel comfortable with.

I remember finishing it and just sitting there in silence, thinking, “I didn’t even know a movie like this could exist.”
You must give a try to watch it someday!
English

@northvaale @munvess +
What makes it stick in my head is honestly how “satisfying” it feels as a film. The storytelling is so tight, and the way everything is revealed is just… shocking in a way I didn’t expect at all.
