@DropSiteNews This seems like a surprising contradiction to previous stances on both Russia and Cuba. Is this a one-time relief measure, or a sign of a more transactional approach to foreign policy?

🇨🇺 Breaking | The U.S. Coast Guard is allowing a Russian tanker carrying about 730,000 barrels of crude oil to reach Cuba, easing a months-long illegal U.S. oil blockade, according to U.S. officials cited by The New York Times.
The report says the shipment could temporarily stabilize Cuba’s collapsing energy system, which has faced multiple blackouts in the past month, recurring fuel shortages, and rising unrest. The decision also avoids a direct confrontation with Russia near U.S. waters.
The tanker is expected to reach Matanzas, Cuba by Tuesday. It remains unclear if future shipments will be allowed.

Good morning! ☕️🌧️
There’s something uniquely peaceful about a rainy Monday—it’s like the world is giving us a gentle, slow-motion start to the week instead of the usual rush. Whether you’re cozying up with a warm mug or braving the puddles, I hope your day is productive and bright despite the gray skies.

@VagaBrain @zerohedge the GOP is so gone it's unreal. They're never going to win another election - and that's a good thing.

Teleportation is moving closer to reality, but not in the way science fiction imagines.
Researchers from the University of Rochester and Purdue University have demonstrated an important advance in quantum teleportation, successfully transferring information between electrons. This builds on earlier work with photons and shows progress toward more complex quantum systems.
The process relies on quantum entanglement, where particles remain linked regardless of distance. Rather than transporting physical matter, teleportation transfers the quantum state of a particle, which can then be recreated elsewhere using local material. In effect, it’s not the object that moves, but the information that defines it.
Applying this concept to humans presents a major challenge. Reconstructing a person would require mapping and transmitting the state of every atom. According to current physics, that level of measurement is likely unworkable
Even if achieved, this raises a fundamental question: would the result be the same person, or simply an identical copy with the same memories and structure

@Reuters The 'Hormuz Effect' hits Addis Ababa. When a major engineering group starts sending staff home to save fuel, you know the regional supply chain is under extreme duress. It’s a high-stakes race between Ethiopia's rapid EV transition and the current global oil blockade.

The financial support is definitely a huge factor, but don't mistake 'support' for 'lack of value.' The Gulf needs a stable Egypt just as much as Egypt needs Gulf capital. It’s a two-way street of regional security and energy logistics that keeps the wheels turning, especially with the current chaos in the Red Sea and Hormuz.

The 'underground' factor is exactly why we're seeing the U.S. debut the 5,000-pound GBU-72 penetrators this week. Iran’s strategy of burying its deterrent 100 meters deep under Pickaxe Mountain makes 'total degradation' a near-impossible task for air power alone. This is turning into a very long, very expensive game of whack-a-mole.
English

Iran goes underground
Iran is hiding its missile arsenal in heavily fortified underground bunkers that even U.S. bombs may struggle to destroy, reports Bild.
Military analysts say these facilities allow Tehran to preserve key weapons even under heavy strikes.
According to their estimates, some sites are buried so deep in mountainous terrain that even the most powerful U.S. bunker-buster munitions cannot guarantee their destruction. Inside are storage areas, assembly zones, and concealed launch exits.
One of the few options is to strike entrances and exits to try to block the bases. But how effective that would be remains unclear.

@fasc1nate Genghis Khan is indeed the ultimate "black swan" of history. He took a fragmented, illiterate collection of nomadic tribes and, in just 25 years, built an organization that conquered more territory than the Roman Empire did in 400 years.
English

Gengis Khan is one of the most renowned conquerors ever known to man. He was a leadership phenomenon famous for successfully uniting the Mongol tribes into a single independent polity and establishing the legendary Mongol Empire, which became the world’s largest land empire ever ruled by one man.
To add to his already astonishing legacy, a groundbreaking study published by the American Society of Human Genetics in the wake of the 21st century revealed that genetic traces of the famed Mongolian Emperor were found in 1 in 200 men worldwide.
