A weak low forms in BoB, displacing the anticyclone. This is likely to open the doors for the cross equatorial flow to enter southern BoB. SWM 2026 onset over Andaman & Nicobar islands likely by end of this week. Arabian Sea anticyclone also weakens, but ridging persits.

After hot days especially in Mumbai eastern suburbs, interior Konkan and Ghat regions, max temperatures will gradually reduce this week as westerly sea breeze strengthens. Some clouding over Ghats with possibility of thunderstorms next 2-3 days.

After weakening in first few days of May, Arabian Sea anticylone is back and LWD seen Ghats with TS formations Gusty winds seen in parts of Thane district due to TS downdraft. Hot weather for remainder of this week for interior Konkan and Deccan region with patchy TS chances.
