Everyone can get rich by luck or chance, But the only ones who get to become rich and stay wealthy are those who practice delayed gratification. Every addiction or self consuming habit that you have IRL is directly related to your failure as a trader. You can trench 16 to 18 hours daily sure but here's a few things that you should also do in order to stay sane and healthy enough to enjoy all that hard earned money. 5 must do things if you're genuinely interested in fixing your IRL bad habits: 1. Do moderate exercise or at least 30 mins. brisk walk minimum: Prolonged hours of nonstop sitting with no activity can not only make you lazy or give you back pain but can also lead to severe health conditions like long term spinal damage or even cardiovascular diseases that would affect you long term no matter how much money you have if you damage it, that could be irreversible. 2. At least 2 healthy meals daily: Tons of downsides of not doing this, most major one it can cause you long term intestinal damage that can lead to fatal health issues. 3. Sleep at least 7-8 hours: You CANNOT be profitable if you're not well rested PERIOD. Ask any solid trader in this space and they will tell you sleep depravity was the #1 reason for their biggest losses most recent was Bastille. 4. Avoid all sorts of addictions: This one is self explanatory and the health related consequences are well know. Plus wins or losses your consumption only grows higher due to the high stress environment we operate in. 5. Cut off from all negative energy and isolate yourself: This does not mean you don't socialize or meet anyone but just that you need the utmost privacy and peace when you trade. Creativity can never thrive in a place of negative emotions or noise. I know there's a lot more that can be covered here but these are some of the crucial things that don't just make you unprofitable but are fatal for your health too and most of us end up doing it unknowingly so I thought we should cover these here. I made similar mistakes too starting off and trust me it was not worth it. Hope this helps.
