No, they do not deserve the “benefit of the doubt”. The shitty race swapped cast, the bad dialogue, the hiking ships, the space armor, Roman helmets and overall bad aesthetics deserve to be binned. Nolan Should’ve respected the source material and the culture that birthed it.
