@ZellnerLaw @MakingAMurderer Is there any way the county messed up declaring Halbach dead in such a fashion that Avery is technically convicted of killing someone who is still “missing?”. Watching the part about skipping the coroner and then pushing her out.

Don't watch @PatMcAfeeShow. Not sure what audience he even appeals to and I'm a millennial. Must have lost his sleeves playing cards or something. Doesn't belong on ESPN. Turning me off how much they show him. Clark comments so out of touch it's pathetic.

This Apple ad is what happens when you try to be “edgy” with no consideration for strategy. Consider first principles: 1) Apple is a brand built on giving people a sense of inspiration and joy (eg, the colorful 2000s iPod ads) 2) Their target audience is consumers who are younger and lean progressive 3) Many of these consumers are uneasy about tech companies and fear their jobs/interests being eliminated Strategically, Apple would’ve been wise to make an ad that: 1) Feels bright, hopeful, and uplifting 2) Celebrates human creativity and flourishing 3) Centers people, not a giant machine Instead they created a vision of dystopia. The crushing of instruments is viscerally hard to watch and evokes the destruction of art during the Cultural Revolution. One of Apple’s greatest ads was “1984,” in which color emerged from bleakness and the human spirit vanquished a dictatorial screen. This latest ad reverses all of that and hands victory back to the screen.

Meet the new iPad Pro: the thinnest product we’ve ever created, the most advanced display we’ve ever produced, with the incredible power of the M4 chip. Just imagine all the things it’ll be used to create.

@lulumeservey usually agree with ur takes but disagree with this one, I think it’s brilliant advertising when was the last time the entire world paid this much attention to an iPad update? The ad is about compressing all of those instruments to smth that’s <6mm thick, not about crushing them

@tim_cook I think the ad would work much better if it was reversed. All the objects should be expanding out of the iPad rather than being crushed into it made this edited version in five minutes (thanks iMovie!)

@tim_cook This is exactly what Apple and other big tech companies have been doing to our creative tools for the past decade. Replacing human skill with programing. Replacing creativity with algorithms. It must stop.

I haven't purchased anything from Fanatics in 5 years because all of it had completely fallen apart. And the worst part is nothing fits right and nothing is comfortable. @MLB @NHL you should all be ashamed of yourselves for following the @NFL...

@elonmusk “I don’t know why I was fired”. You single handedly cost your company 800 million and counting in lawsuits related to your blatant lying regarding election fraud.

The All-In Pod asks @TuckerCarlson why he was fired by FOX News and what role corporate advertisers play in shaping news coverage? Tucker highlights Big Pharma, constituting 75% of TV ads in 2020, then delves into COVID, lockdowns, mRNA shots, January 6th, and the War in Ukraine. "It not only exists, it defines news coverage. Especially on pharma because pharma is the biggest advertiser on television. If Pfizer is sponsoring your show, you are not going to question the vax... And that's why they are the biggest advertiser. So they can shape news coverage." Tucker explains that he was not surprised by his firing because it is implicitly understood within the industry that sharing opinions that conflict with corporate advertisers eventually gets you fired. "I had a lot of opinions that were unpopular with people who might have influenced my show getting canceled... But I was not shocked at all. You can't give the finger to everybody and persist in a corporate job." This aligns with Glenn Greenwald's (@ggreenwald) recent analysis, shared by @elonmusk, illustrating how modern journalism, once a check on established power, is now controlled by corporate advertisers. (x.com/kanekoathegrea…) The ongoing corporate boycott of @X, ostensibly based on a false antisemitism claim, reflects this broader pattern. Empirical data reveals platforms like TikTok and Instagram promote significantly more antisemitism than @X, yet corporate advertisers are only targeting this platform. (x.com/antgoldbloom/s…) This contradiction underscores the corporate @X boycott is less about combating antisemitism and more about stifling freedom of speech online. When @elonmusk defiantly tells this union of major corporate advertisers and establishment power to "go f**k yourself" for attempting to bankrupt his company, he's pointing at the authoritarian illiberal forces attempting to control online speech through advertising dollars. Elon Musk, Glenn Greenwald, and Tucker Carlson rightly point the finger at this dangerous alliance of corporate and government power, manipulating news and shaping social media platforms through advertising dollars. These authoritarian illiberal forces starkly oppose the core principles of freedom, liberty, and enlightenment that have fostered the modern prosperity of so many people in the Western world. Scam alert. I have been speaking with one of my followers here, who shared that he was hacked this morning on a Ledger scam. Here is what he said happened - "Woke up this morning and wanted to just do a sanity check on my Nano S - ensure accounts look good and maybe move a bit more into warmer storage. Got hit with a 503 HTTP API error when it went to synchronize, which in and of itself terrified me. Then I reached out to Ledger Support on Twitter and within seconds I had the CTO reaching out via DM. CTO walked me through 5 steps to fix the issue, which included visiting a website that looked legit (though now the domain is so obviously wrong), putting in info about device type and, you guessed it, enter pass phrase. I even asked him about why it was required and he mentioned it was end to end encrypted and a requirement to sync. Moving too quickly and obviously not thinking clearly, I gave it and within minutes realized my account was completely drained." Keep in mind, this person is on top of his security, knows not to ever share his seed phrase. This has happened to SO MANY PEOPLE that never tell you about it. One moment of weakness and your Bitcoin is gone. Be careful out there.
