@nimivashi15 Agreed. Cameras are great — but they can’t capture the years of sweat, failure, and quiet work it takes to build something impactful. Hype is loud. Substance whispers.

I am surprised how in SF, 20 year olds just documenting doing stuff gets them investments. Scientists in the making do so much more while training for a PhD, but we don't move with cameras. We don't talk about it. People have no idea how much troubleshooting goes into discovering and reporting something nobody has seen before. We should do a better job at it!

CRISPR Gene Drive in Culex mosquitoes out in @natcomms. Great work by my former Postdoc @XuechunFeng_ in collaboration with @AlpheyLab. We use a split drive to evaluate homing at two loci and employ a marked-chromosome strategy to count homing events in a low-efficiency system.
