Just to clear things up, so people won’t think I went to the ER because I have a headache. A sharp bone spur in my neck poked a hole in the sac holding my spinal fluid, which was causing excruciating headaches. I just had a procedure called an epidural blood patch. The doctors injected my own blood right over the hole to act like a temporary plug. Right now, that plug is stopping the leak so that my body can naturally grow scar tissue over the hole and heal it permanently. It takes about 4 to 6 weeks to fully heal, so I am on strict restrictions but feeling SO much better. Restrictions are no bending, lifting, or twisting, to make sure the patch stays in place and does its job. Lie flat 24-48 hours. I can deal with all of this if it keeps that damn headache that felt like my head was about to blow up away.

Luckily it is outpatient & I will be able to go home in a couple of hours after the procedure. Prayers are appreciated!
