Since we are discussing safe spaces, I want to take a moment to say that 3-4 years ago I tried to do that. I blocked people who set out to bully, intimidate and harass only to find out that the same women saying they represent all women in the fight for safe spaces also talked poorly about my body, my health, and others when you stand up to them. Men are not the only threat to women and I feel it’s time I get to share my side that so many never allowed for me to do. People that are held on a pedestal, given a platform and opportunities while behind closed doors are bashing other women. This is who people idolize as the women fighting for safe spaces for other women that I’ve held on to because I figured if women would so willingly behave like this, who would ever bother to stand up for me but me?
