Today is the last day to register online for #PVMS2024! Registration closes at 11:59pm tonight and is $25 for students and $35 for everyone else. Registration at the door on the day of the symposium will be cash only: $30 for students and $40 for everyone else.

Good news - the abstract submission deadline for #PVMS2024 has been extended to January 29th! Extra time to put those finishing touches on your abstracts!

Happy New Year Valley Microbes! Ring in the new year by submitting an abstract/registering for #PVMS2024. The abstract submission deadline is Jan. 22nd and the registration deadline is Feb. 9th! See our website for more information (blogs.umass.edu/valleymicrobes/).

We are pleased to host Dr. Amy Teffer from UMass Amherst! She researches how fish and their infectious agents respond to environmental change and anthropogenic stressors using physiological and genomic tools merged with experimentation, telemetry, and statistical modeling.

We are pleased to host Dr. Ariel L. Furst (@afurst1) from MIT! Her lab uses electrochemical, biological and materials engineering tools to develop technologies that can improve human and environmental health.

We are pleased to host Dr. Vicki Jeffers (@jeffersvic) from the University of New Hampshire! Her lab studies mechanisms of epigenetic and transcriptional regulation in the protozoan parasite Toxoplasma gondii using genomic, proteomic, molecular and cellular biology approaches.
