I made the free Dithertone killer app. Pixelate allows you to apply retro dither effects to images and videos instantly. Client side, no signup. I'm interested in your feedback. Enjoy! => pixelate.muware.xyz/ditherize

I created an ASCII art effect for the Pixelate. Personally, I think it's cool. 🤷‍♂️ Works on images and videos .:-=*+/#@

I built a voice dictation tool for Windows because typing felt like a bottleneck. It works in every app, runs locally if you care about privacy, and can even translate in real-time. Free, one-time payment for advanced features. No subscription, ever.

@MMAOMarketing Agreed, it's not a long-term method. Unless you're developing software with the sole aim of selling it on AppSumo (I've seen some).

In just 6 months, offering YouTube Copycat as a Lifetime Deal on AppSumo brought in over $10,000. But managing costs remains a constant challenge. #buildinpublic

The detailed story of my first SaaS launch 👇👇 Today, I just want to share with you my experience in creating a SaaS. This is the first time I've really made money on the Internet. And even if we're not talking astronomical sums, the earnings are already interesting - we're talking thousands of euros. And I think that's pretty cool, especially when you consider how affordable it is. So, let me tell you a little bit about me. In real life, I'm a developer. This gives me the small advantage of being able to code almost anything I want, as long as I have the time (and a good dose of coffee!). It's a considerable asset, I admit. Because if you're more on the marketing side and you're looking for a developer, it can quickly get complicated. So here's the idea: “YT Copycat”. I was inspired by the potential of OpenAI and ChatGPT. Why not use these great technologies to create something unique? And so, “YT Copycat” was born. The principle is simple: you take the URL of a YouTube video, paste it into the tool, and it generates original content for you. Whether you're looking to turn a video into a blog post, a newsletter, or even a series of tweets, this tool has you covered. What's more, it can post directly to WordPress or email you summaries of the latest videos from the channels you follow. Launching this project as a salaried employee, and as a developer to boot, has been time-consuming but not insurmountable, since I love it (yes, I think that to show discipline and focus, you first need passion, and therefore motivation). I started development at the end of January and finished two months later, at the end of March. And the first customers? They arrived at the beginning of April. Where did I find my customers? After putting “YT Copycat” online, I asked myself the crucial question: how do I get this gem out into the world? Well, the answer was quite simple and natural. For the past year, a good part of my traffic has been organic, and that's largely thanks to listing platforms dedicated to AI-powered tools. With the craze for ChatGPT and the like, a host of specialized sites have sprung up like mushrooms. Their mission? To list all new and innovative AI-based software. And, spoiler alert, it works pretty well! So I did a little research and found these famous platforms. Without wasting any time, I listed “YT Copycat”. It's a fairly direct and effective way of gaining visibility. Internet users on the lookout for innovations in the field of AI come across my little project, and bang, some of them become customers. As an aside, YT Copycat straddles the line between B2B and B2C in the sense that it's aimed at freelance individuals who need to create content more quickly (e.g. Ghostwriter), but it can also be used by agencies with the same issues. Of course, not all listing sites are created equal. Some are real traffic magnets, thanks to their popularity and the number of loyal users. I've done my little tests here and there, starting with the most accessible free platforms, before taking the plunge with a few of the sector's behemoths, even if this sometimes means breaking the bank. But seriously, the results are well worth the modest initial investment. The first platforms I tested started to bring me my very first visitors. And then the big boys took over, boosting my traffic like never before. It's a virtuous circle: qualified traffic leads to registrations, which turn into customers. Faced with this small success, an idea crossed my mind: is it possible, in the space of a few weeks, to launch a software product, list it, then literally put your feet up and see a few hundred euros fall into your lap every month? Spoiler alert: I've tested it, and I'll tell you about it later. The maximum MRR I've reached is €1,300. Once again, no marketing, no ads, no closing, all automatic. Obviously, growth hasn't been unlimited, and in the next episode I'm going to tell you about AppSumo, which taught me a lot about the software market.
