@DIGI__Byte The platform for which this is being developed as UGC has severe limitations on the C# feature set and exposed APIs. Third party scripted assets are not supported and everything has to be compiled to the platform's own assembly, thus I'm stuck to using Unity's default for now.

Hill starts in heavy vehicles have always been my worst enemy due to still being stuck with using Unity WheelColliders and such ridiculous forces being present.
After 2 days of grueling work I've finally reached an enjoyable driving experience not too far from reality.

@JussiKemppainen I'm currently performing a series of tests in order to figure out what exactly contributes to the solution.
I've made major changes to the torque converter, rollback lock, hill assist, wheel sub-steps, etc. so I want to rule out factors that may only overcomplicate the answer.

I made them couple years ago when I was trying to properly learn more about the cursed nature of Unity WheelColliders in order to compensate for their flaws in code.
I was really hoping I wouldn't need them anymore but here we are!

This is developed for a social VR platform called VRChat, C# scripts have to be compiled into their own "Udon" Assembly which can be up to 1000 times slower to execute.
For this reason Unity WheelColliders are still necessary in order to maintain stable performance.

@RiizaTensely 80 players with 85 vehicles on same hardware while recording isn't an issue either.

We have just reached a monumental milestone regarding social VR driving experiences! Thanks to the Persistence update every player can now own their personal vehicle which they can customize and keep across instances! ...And we're only getting started! #VRChat #unity3d

Realtime vehicle reflection probes, 3 vehicle mirrors, a backup camera, VRChat steadycam and recording, all on a 1080Ti + 2700X while in VR. I think I can pretty confidently call this a significant milestone in terms of performance for the upcoming world! #VRChat

Everything is VRChat unless explicitly stated otherwise.
I've made the decision not to reveal anything I'm working on in Unity 6 / standalone before this world is released in order to avoid confusion, potentially leading to disappointment due to a misunderstanding.

@Varneon Now, I've tracked for a bit, but can't seem to remember; is this for VRChat? Or something standalone?
If the former, it's completely transformative as everything I've seen of this has made it seem like it's a standalone game you're making so far.
