@DIGI__Byte The platform for which this is being developed as UGC has severe limitations on the C# feature set and exposed APIs. Third party scripted assets are not supported and everything has to be compiled to the platform's own assembly, thus I'm stuck to using Unity's default for now.

Hill starts in heavy vehicles have always been my worst enemy due to still being stuck with using Unity WheelColliders and such ridiculous forces being present. After 2 days of grueling work I've finally reached an enjoyable driving experience not too far from reality. #unity3d

Lightmap switching is now part of day/night cycle. Despite dozens of environment elements (light color/rotation, materials, fog, reflection probes, etc.) being controller per frame at 288X speed, the performance is only becoming more stable by the day. #VRChat #unity3d

@JussiKemppainen I'm currently performing a series of tests in order to figure out what exactly contributes to the solution. I've made major changes to the torque converter, rollback lock, hill assist, wheel sub-steps, etc. so I want to rule out factors that may only overcomplicate the answer.

@journeys_ARPG Thank you! This is developed for a social VR platform called VRChat, C# scripts have to be compiled into their own "Udon" Assembly which can be up to 1000 times slower to execute. For this reason Unity WheelColliders are still necessary in order to maintain stable performance.

@HolmesDrunklock Thank you! Everything is VRChat unless explicitly stated otherwise. I've made the decision not to reveal anything I'm working on in Unity 6 / standalone before this world is released in order to avoid confusion, potentially leading to disappointment due to a misunderstanding.

@Varneon Now, I've tracked for a bit, but can't seem to remember; is this for VRChat? Or something standalone? If the former, it's completely transformative as everything I've seen of this has made it seem like it's a standalone game you're making so far. Brilliant either way!

Implemented bulk material transfer from Unity into Blender! Unity extension writes JSON containing the configurations of all selected materials into clipboard, Blender addon then parses the JSON and creates a clean material setup. #unity3d #b3d

Day 2000 of VRCStation causing headaches beyond comprehension. For 5.5 years I've been dealing with BS ranging from minor inconveniences to completely unusable. Now stations are refusing to send callbacks for late joiners and I can't even reproduce the bug for reporting it...
