This story from Bhagvatam was also carved in Mogao caves by the Wei Dynasty. In Kdramas they show a ceremony where a baby selects 1 item from multiple things (book, money, food etc) & that shows what the child will do in the future. This is something that was practiced in Hinduism for millennia. They also have a ceremony of offering food to ancestors similar to Shraadh. In both kdramas & cdramas they venerate Amitabha Buddha - all Dharmic influences. And we've Bollytrash which disses our own culture.
