Began the day with a visit to the cemetery where Emmett Ashford is interred. Baseball’s first black umpire, he was born on this day in 1914 in Los Angeles. When he passed in 1980, his ashes were buried in Cooperstown. baseballhall.org/discover/going…



We are heartbroken at the loss of longtime @NINEjournal and @NineConference supporter Jean Ardell, who was on our board. She was a great writer, a wonderful mentor, and a dear friend to many. She will be missed. May her memory be a blessing to all those whose lives she touched.
