I extend my sincerest congratulations to Chief @derynrizzi as she embarks on a new professional opportunity. Chief Rizzi began her impressive emergency preparedness career in our city and eventually became the first female fire chief of #Vaughan.

VFRS are currently on scene for roof fire on a building under construction. The crews arrived to heavy smoke and fire conditions. The fire was brought under control and crews are conducting overhaul operations. No reported injuries. Langstaff Rd closed from Huntington to Hwy 27.
