Why in the WORLD would kids under 5 who completed their pfizer series NOT be eligible for a bivalent booster. Or the ability to mix and match and get a moderna bivalent boost. You create barriers then ask why there is no uptake?! @US_FDA @pfizer @CDCgov @PTF_org @CDCDirector

As we enter the next phase of the pandemic, where young people are suddenly dying, it’s only going to fuel the debate - Is this the vaccine or is this is Long COVID. Since the government got caught lying about vaccine effectiveness - expect more people to believe the worst.

@woodyluvskelly @alexmeshkin What I'm saying is that "the government," which I assume means Biden, had trial data showing the vaccines were 95% effective at preventing infection. They had evidence that the vaccine was effective. A person who is not infected with a virus cannot transmit it. It was not a lie.

@VaxUnder @alexmeshkin So you're saying the gov't just assumed transmission was stopped by the vaccine because it was a vaccine? Which is worse, our gov't not asking if transmission is stopped, or just saying something they don't know? Both are abhorrent, and they don't deserve one ounce our trust.

@alexmeshkin What Biden said was reasonable. Healthcare workers are not going to give you covid if they are protected against getting covid. And at the time, the vaccine was 95% effective against infection. So his statement was not 'a lie'.

@POTUS And kids under 5? They need the updated booster when it actually matches the circulating variant, not a year and a half later.

@alexmeshkin The population now has massive immunity, which slows spread and reduces severe effects. These infections are now less important than flu.

The pandemic is past tense for everyone I know outside of my bubble in the entertainment industry. And even in my industry - people outside of LA and NYC are over precautions and testing. This winter will be very interesting to watch.
