@E__Grizz @BWEnjoyer @jeyshan26 That's why I call it "bad back-translation" rather than a bad name. Aruraumon, Goburimon, Diaboromon, Varoduromon etc. don't have this problem. Paildramon's sigmove 'Desperado Blaster' suffer from that too: it was re-spelled as 'Death Parade Blaster' in the some iterations.

@VectoRaith @BWEnjoyer @jeyshan26 They use R in place of L because they cannot pronounce Ls in Japanese, that doesn't mean the intent for an L in place of R wasn't there though.

English dub names are crazy sometimes because the Alraune is from European myth and is an English word, and yet we get “Arurau” 😭

@VectoRaith @jeyshan26 パイル is not how you would transliterate "pair" into Japanese. That would be ペア. Wikimon suggests the name might come from "pile" like a javelin.

@jeyshan26 Paildramon original name is パイルドラモン Which read PAIRUDORAMON The decision to officially romanize it into Paildramon, and not Pairdramon (despite of it is a -dramon created by a pair of Digimon), air it, then call it a day is beyond my comprehension.

@Kyuu96_ @jeyshan26 If it's that case, then I assume you agree that PaiLdramon is a weird romanized/back-translated name. People may debate that "Pail" is based on Pile(bunker) but why the name is not Piledramon is beyond my comprehension. This is what a pail is if you don't know:

@BWEnjoyer @jeyshan26 Yes I know, the OG CGI in Adventure 02 is clearly written PaiLdramon. But again, it is パイルドラモン in katakana which is also the correct kana for PAIRdramon. Many names stem from romanized katakana (e.g: Goburimon, Diaboromon, etc) yet the official back-translation is so weird

@Bionicfactory1 What Mlynar can't do, SilverAsh now can, and vice versa. And you still need original SilverAsh to easily clear first phase of H16-4, unless you're that player with insane micro-nanomanagement skill.
