@jaybirdie1 No choice unfortunately, it’s only built for AAA batteries, but you can use rechargeable ones just fine. 🙂

@VectrexOn I would have prefered rechargeable batteries in mine, do we have a choice, I don't fancy buying packs of AAA all the time.

The Vectrex Mini controller runs on 2 AAA batteries. Built for many play sessions with no charging routine, just long-lasting power and easy swaps when needed. 🕹️🔋 (Development images, more information about the development here: kickstarter.com/projects/18523…)

#VectrexMini のレポート来てた。 >コントローラーには内蔵バッテリーは搭載しません。代わりに、背面のカバーの下にある 単4電池2本で動作します。 これ英断ですね👍 愛用してるMP3プレイヤー(PD-205a)も専用バッテリーではなく単4電池なので、20年経ってもバリバリ現役で頑張ってます🔋

Always a pleasure to (re)introduce the Vectrex at exhibitions. Today it's happening in Corsica, with a 82 Vectrex and prototypes of the Vectrex mini, along with classic overlays and UV overlays… everything needed to amaze every pair of eyes. 🕹️✨
