1/2 Today’s match at Ibrox between the Ugly Sisters represents everything I detest about football - and why the fans of the rest of Scottish football have such a massive dislike of these two clubs. What fans of these two clubs watch and the reasons many of them support their respective clubs bears zero resemblance to all the reasons why I love football. For me it’s about supporting my club through thick and thin but also respecting the clubs we play - and their fans. If we win, we celebrate and enjoy the moment. If we lose, we get over it and credit our opponents - no team should expect to win every single week. After Saints lost 1-0 at home to Dunfermline the other week, I was gutted as I walked back to my car. A couple of Dunfermline fans were walking along with me and we had a good chat and a bit of banter about the game. As we reached our cars we shook hands and wished each other all the best for the rest of the season. Respect for each other and our teams. That is normal and how everyone I know who follows different clubs behave. For me, football is about community and the hugely positive impact the local football team and its fans can bring. Whether it’s supporting Foodbanks or those suffering from terminal illness, clubs and their fans do so much good - and I love that about this sport. I’ve seen so many fantastic examples of this in my travels this season at every level in Scotland and elsewhere in Italy, Germany, Spain, and South America.

If that game taught me one thing, it's this: Hearts have nothing to fear from Rangers or Celtic

Go across 'celtic social media' even, dare I say it, you're personal wee group chats (that obviously you won't share, etc. ) and I'm confident you'll find pretty much the same reaction at the material time. Let's not try and pivot, just because we got a draw in the end - probably could have, and maybe should've been a win tbf - and you now want to come out high and mighty. That was honkin. YES, absolutely, the subs in the 2nd half made such a difference, but you have to question the state of that 1st half performance and ask why we had to wait til HT to make those subs that made a difference. I'll die on that hill. Celtic look uncoached. Unorganised chaos. Literally depending on the right guys, at the right time, to do the job. Admittedly, rangers bottled it in the 2nd half, but if you suddenly want to use today as some sort of barometer of why 'We'll win the league as that's what Champions do' then I'd advise caution. We are literally a flip of a coin. A shot in the dark. This is the least dependable celtic side I've watched since covid.

Slightly biased, because I used to work there, but absolutely delighted for St. Mirren. Great club, great staff, great fans. They've been overdue some success and I hope they enjoy every moment of tonight.
