Aditya Dhar made almost 8 hr film without any single boring moment, while Animal dips in the second half after exceptional first half. Also Dhurandhar’s love story, which isn't even the primary focus of the story, is much better than Vanga’s Romantic film Kabir Singh.

Such lazy, convenient writing to end the much-hyped "Jinn". Dhurandhar 1 was such a great grounded espionage thriller. THAT was absolute cinema.
Dhurandhar 2 is just... ok. Ranveer is phenomenal but the story & editing is so forced, pretentious & drags along.

When the Russia-Ukraine war broke out, PM Modi personally called both Putin and Zelenskyy multiple times. His intervention ensured safe corridors for thousands of stranded Indian students. In key areas like Kharkiv, Russian artillery paused firing in the direction our students were evacuating…something Jaishankar has openly confirmed as a direct result of Modi’s diplomacy.
It wasn’t about “stopping the entire war.” It was about protecting Indian lives with real influence and relationships. That’s called leadership and strategic autonomy — not dalali.
Contrast that with Pakistan’s lifelong habit of playing middleman for the US (since 1981 with Iran, Taliban talks, etc.). They get used as a convenient channel because of their geography and dependency. India doesn’t run around offering itself as a broker to anyone. We engage for our national interest, not to play dalal.
Pawan Khera and the usual suspects love twisting routine, successful diplomacy into “Modi did the same.” No. One was saving our citizens with quiet, effective calls. The other is a country with zero credibility pretending to mediate between heavyweights.
Jaishankar nailed it: India is not a “dalal” nation. We don’t do brokerage. We do diplomacy with dignity and strength.

Another observation I just had:
Dhurandhar: The Revenge didn't have such a scene in the climax where both characters sat and spoke like dignitaries for 10 minutes. Jaskirat literally eliminated Maj Iqbal, with minimal dialogue, while the latter spoke on and on (raw and unfiltered truth btw) of what they would do if they got the upper hand.
I'd say that's better than having an exposition on morality and Aman ka Tamasha lessons.

While I agree with Kunal, I think the bigger culprit here was 'desire'.
Honestly, the comedy fraternity could have saved itself at the edit table.
Samay must have watched that edit multiple times. There was no rush. And yet, he chose to let that stupid comment pass.
A “spiritual guy” making vulgar/offensive remark, it’s almost guaranteed to grab attention.

When I watched #Dhurandhar 1, I genuinely felt Arjun Rampal comeback is loading with powerful performance in next part... The aura, the calm menace, the screen presence—everything was pointing towards same.
But #Dhurandhar2 goes completely off track.
The whole humiliation angle involving his father felt unnecessary and poorly executed. Instead of adding depth, it actually weakened the character. A villain who should command fear was reduced through cuss words and disrespect that didn’t even serve the story.
That track neither pushed the narrative forward nor added any meaningful layer to his personality. If anything, it diluted his impact and made the antagonist feel less threatening.
Strong villains elevate films. Here, it felt like the film itself pulled its own villain down.
A missed opportunity, because Arjun Rampal had all the ingredients for a standout performance and a solid career boost.

Just finished watching Dhurandhar for the 4th time and my mind keeps getting blown everytime. Aditya Dhar has transcended Ray, Ghatak, Dutt and sits on a pedestal above anyone else in Indian cinema history. 🙏
