This is so incredibly dumb. How can you seed based on a previous season’s results, especially when the majority of teams at worlds that supposedly created said seeding no longer exist?

100% should be fined X% of their winnings, per event, if they choose to not show face cam on live broadcast. If a player doesn’t want to for whatever reason then fair enough, but they should expect to be fined. This argument of ‘The League should cover costs’ is stupid too, should they cover costs of pc’s, monitors, controllers, etc too?

We need to start taking a small % of prize money away from players who refuse to use their facecams on RLCS broadcasts

Howe definitely has more flaws with his game management, etc than Emery, but he did inherit a far worse squad and has technically achieved more than emery since joining. Both teams have struggled in their CL seasons domestically, which is to be expected in the current economy when rebuilding, especially with both teams being crippled by PSR trying to maintain their positions, so the argument of which team has spent more is irrelevant. I do hate how this is becoming a forced rivalry simply due to both clubs being on a similar trajectory/timeline though. Both top coaches, clubs and sets of fans with the same ambitions. From out perspective it shouldn’t be seen as a race to see which club succeeds faster, it should be seen as a collective effort to permanently break the Big 6 wide open, which I’m sure 99% of fans of both clubs would be happy about.

Eddie Howe vs Unai Emery. Context matters. #nufc There is rightly a lot of praise for Unai Emery at the moment. He is a superb coach and tactically brilliant. At the same time, Eddie Howe has taken a lot of criticism recently. So here is a fair comparison of their current tenures, with proper context about where each club was when they took over 👇 —— When they joined Eddie Howe, Newcastle (Nov 2021) 19th in the Premier League Winless in the first 14 games Historically relegation level form Thin squad with limited top level talent His job was simple. Keep Newcastle in the league. Survival was the brief. Unai Emery, Aston Villa (Nov 2022) 17th in the Premier League Struggling but outside the bottom three Much stronger squad on paper Significant investment already made Villa were underperforming rather than broken. —— Inherited squad quality Howe inherited a relegation battling group including Allan Saint Maximin Callum Wilson Beyond that, depth and quality were limited. He had to rebuild the squad and transform a losing culture. A talented group needing structure. —— Transfer investment Both clubs have spent money. The key difference is context. Newcastle spent to lift a weak squad up to a competitive level. But Howe Started from a worse league position Inherited a weaker squad Was under immediate pressure to survive And has delivered Champions League football twice, plus silverware Given the context, it is entirely fair to say Eddie Howe’s work at Newcastle has been every bit as impressive as Emery’s at Aston Villa. I’m not jumping on the ‘Howe out’ train just yet but some serious questions have to be asked about his tactics/coaching this season. Away at Sunderland, a goal down and makes the most uninspiring substitutions possible, no formation change, no other tactical changes, nothing. It’s not just today either, it happens all the time. Last couple of seasons we’d have seen a shift to say 4231 with both Isak and Wilson seeing out the game together. So why not do something like that today when it matters the most? We’d already lost a lot of height and physicality with Burn coming off first half, why bring Woltemade off when we know Sunderland are gonna drop deeper as the minutes play out. Gave us no target man for crosses, gave us no creativity in and around the box, etc. We literally just sat and watched Schar, Bruno, Murphy and Tino knock it about on the right wing for 5 minutes straight because they had no better options to get other players involved. As Newcastle fans I think I speak for us all when I say I’d prefer us to lose 3-0, conceding to a couple counter attacks, etc, knowing we’d thrown everything at them to get back into the game, but instead we had to watch that shite. It’s just not good enough. #NUFC

@JakeSucky He’s not wrong, other games such as halo, battlefield, destiny, etc all have a stiff, unresponsive feel when turning/aiming on controller. Def one of the reasons cod has dominated the fps market over the years
