@forwardintodawn Goten and Trunks have minimal experience fighting in serious situations and the one time they wanted to help vegeta fight a villain he knocked them out to send them away. This was consistent in GT as well where he sent them away to buy them time to get stronger in future

@VegetaContent It’s stupid as hell Trunks and Goten are no stranger to battle and far stronger than Krillin and Tien and definitely would have been far more useful than them in the Tournament. As they did almost nothing, to me, this just shows how unrealistic his development actually is.

Vegeta wanting to keep the kids out of conflict despite growing up in a warrior society where babies were sent out to conquer/destroy worlds and being a child soldier himself is an underrated detail of his development #Dragonball

@foggy_chaos When ppl discuss Vegeta’s development they tend to focus on the big stuff (his family/relationship with Goku) which makes sense but there are many other little aspects sprinkled throughout too 🔥

Yes, indeed, and we should talk more about this! This is the same man who went with little Gohan against Frieza. I think he wouldn't be so cool about it now. I love it that he can be the person he is now because there are no outside circumstances that force him to be who he used to be. 😍

@Jamie4298164821 Yes out of universe it was a justification for not including goten and trunks but from an in universe perspective it make sense and shows character growth to have Vegeta be the one to shoot down the option specifically

I love this scene because vegeta thinks of and is motivated by Bulma as he drifts half consciously and because of how casual it is too. I can picture him saying that to her on some random morning 😂 #vegebul

@SpaceSerius Can’t speak on viz accuracy but I feel like vegeta is too blunt to never say “I can’t believe I lost to a woman” and instead “I shouldn’t have lost to anyone”. Even later ponders if them being androids was why they were superior to him, woman or not

@VegetaContent the thing is, that could be true if the first speech bubble didn´t exist, which is what directly ties into Piccolo´s comment, also I´m pretty sure other Viz toned down that "chick" thing when demanding the androids to fight him

It’s so funny that piccolo assumes vegeta was upset at losing to 18 because she’s a woman, when he never once alluded to that 😂 . Being a super saiyan he believed he should’ve had no equal. He even briefly considered they might be superior due to being androids lol #DragonBall

@LorcanKelly14 He pokes fun at her ‘not’ being a woman (an android) like he’d done to every Android up to that point. It felt more like it was him denying her humanity which was a contrast to krillin seeing humanity in the androids. I can see your point too tho
