The case against Anelle de Bruin (46), the wife of a well-known Eastern Cape farmer, who is accused of planning to kill him in a fictitious “farm attack”, was postponed by the Aliwal North magistrate’s court. Farmer’s wife stood to get R50 million payout for hubby’s death. She was allegedly recorded instructing that after shooting her husband at their farm, the hitmen must shoot the family’s dogs and vehicle tyres to make it look like a “farm attack”. She is set to appear in court again on April 23.

Two (2) Somalian national businessmen were arrested and a stolen shipping container containing construction equipment was recovered on the M4 in La Mercy - KZN afternoon Wednesday. The driver explained that he was hired by the two (2) Somalian nationals to transport a container to a rural area on the north of Durban - KZN. He was allegedly paid R15000 for his services. The foreign nationals were passengers in the vehicle. They informed Reaction Officers that they intended on converting the shipping container into a tuck shop. They also allegedly own several tuck shops and general dealers.

A 32 year old Foreign National has been tracked down & arrested by Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) approx. 17 hours after she dumped her newborn baby in a stormwater drain. When interviewed by a female Reaction Officer, the woman explained that she had entered the country illegally in 2022. She left an 11 year old & 5 year old child back in Maseru to seek employment in South Africa. She was employed as a machinist at a textile business & became pregnant with her third child. During her pregnancy her boyfriend disputed the paternity of the child believing & that she had sexual relationships with other partners.

When interviewed the mother explained that while getting her daughter ready for school, she had entered the room to find the man with his clothing off and attempting to rape her son.
