@Amandasmylife *Pretend Catholics Listen I'm a very bad Catholic. But at this point if you don't get what two Popes in a row have said about the orange man... Nothing will. You are not Catholic.

@Indynow6 A millionaire that does not pay his employees a living wage? A scoundrel that finds ways to throw anyone under the bus just to keep afloat? No thanks.

The Glasgow fire brings out the worst in so many here. Immigrant-blaming racists, ill-informed conspiracists, political factions blaming each other...Be grateful there were no casualties, thank the emergency services, Scotrail staff & keep in mind those who lost their businesses.

@TheOneCalledMe im as anti mass illegal migration as you can be, but can we take a second to acknowledge the homeless migrant who grabbed an extinguisher and tried to stop the blaze as it grew ... that is the kind of investment in the country we need thescottishsun.co.uk/news/16015318/…

@aljo_clark @IndyAsapScot It might be a kneejerk reaction, but it should at least make for a public inquiry as to how this happened. Worst case scenario? Vape shops are banned on certain buildings, and we get better at preventing fires. Best case? We get better at preventing stuff like this.

@IndyAsapScot Using that logic so should phone shops or laptops. More regulation and safety protocols would be the logical thing to do. Now what about electric cars in people's garages? One went up last year and took nearly 2 days for the fire to go out. Horrendous but a Kneejerk reaction.

Vape shops must all be full of solvent plus lithium batteries. These cannot be extinguished when they start to react. Especially as they burn explosively together. They should from this minute be closed, emptied and DEFINITELY NOT be housed in tenement, residential or old buildings. Like from this minute. They are a threat to life & our heritage.

@newshacksreboot All the unionists are low key funny. If Swinney didn't show to the biggest Glasgow disaster? He is a coward. If he shows up immediately after? Photo Op.

There are approximately 53 million to 72 million Catholics in the United States, representing about 19% to 20% of the adult population. The Catholic Church is the largest single religious body in the country. Not one Priest invited. Because Catholic clergy are calling this an unjust war and Catholics should not be fighting in it.

@jtimsuggs That's the problem with you lot. All smoke and mirrors. Sod the story.... The most realistic duel is Episode IV. The most emotionally charged is Episode VI. (Don't get me started on the saber forms) All you wanted was to pander to Filoni's fantasy, not to actual Star Wars.

I know this series wasn’t for everyone, but the choreography for the lightsaber duels in The Acolyte was seriously nothing short of incredible. Almost two years later I still find myself thinking about how these action sequences. Absolutely unreal.

@the_det_times C- to D nothing done to improve 5 vs 5 scoring. Perron will help a little but not enough to say he was a big upgrade. I've not really criticized the Yzerplan before. But I'm baffled as to what it is. Don't like moving Elmer either especially for a 3rd.

@Michigander1426 @the_det_times So, Faulk is not addressing an issue? Faulk used to be a captain himself, skates well, can be deployed in PK and PP. Eases the pressure on ASP... Perron was basically for free. And we got rid of dead weight. Sure, I would have snatching Thomas and Rielly... But overall B+.

@JockSpivy @johnkonrad For someone with Oxford education it is astonishing that you don't understand the difference between America (two continents) and a country (USA). Also... Are you betting your intelectual legacy on the orange man? Really? That what they teach you in Oxford? Pathetic really.

@johnkonrad I'm with you 100%. I went to Oxford and have loved Britain as much as America (almost). But not anymore. The UK is just another semi-loser country that doesn't help America.

I have a confession. I loved the UK. I’ve read every James Bond novel. Watched every film twice. I love their naval history, their deadpan humor, their novelists. Maybe it’s because I grew up poor, but my parents saved for years to take me to London when I was five. My mom’s family traces back to colonial Britain. I’ve been to Buckingham Palace. Met the royals. I even love their mediocre food. Bangers and mash, yum! And my grandfather, who navigated B-24s, kissed the ground when he landed back on British soil. I visited the spot. I kissed the ground too. And my dad, a fireman in the Bronx, hosted exchange fireman from Sheffield who filled our house with laughter and camaraderie that overshadowed the complaints from Irish Catholics at our church. 49 years of genuine love and respect. Not performance. Not anglophilia. Real. So it genuinely pains me to say this: I am struggling, right now, today, to give a single shit about them. I spent a week there this summer with my daughter trying to rekindle that appreciation in me. Mostly failed. UK friends, I’m not being rhetorical. I’m asking sincerely. Give me one reason. Not 1944. Not the Special Relationship as a concept. A reason for today. Give me one half a sh!t reason. Because I’m looking and I’m coming up with nothing.
