Are there any metro stations in Montreal you’ve just never used? I wouldn’t bet my life on it but maybe Cartier (orange), Cadillac (green) and Langford (green). Am I missing out? Do I need to go on an adventure?

Hollywood gold can’t compete with this: Sean Penn just received a "Ukrainian Oscar" from the national railway, Ukrzaliznytsia. The award was forged from the twisted steel of a train carriage destroyed in a Russian attack. It honors Penn’s decision to skip the red carpet and stand with Ukraine, supporting our fight for independence, freedom, and democracy.

For newcomers who think Montreal is less corrupt than the United States, you might want to read this. In 2010, Maclean’s described Quebec as “the most corrupt province in Canada.” The article may be old, but when you look at the exorbitant public spending on all kinds of questionable projects, it still makes many people wonder if some decisions are driven more by backroom deals than by the public interest. I was born in Quebec and have lived here for nearly 55 years. I have watched reports, scandals and public inquiries come and go, all pointing to the same systemic corruption. One example is the Duchesneau report on corruption in Quebec’s construction industry, which helped trigger the Charbonneau Commission, a major public inquiry into corruption and collusion in the construction sector and in the awarding of public contracts. Articles macleans.ca/news/canada/th… cbc.ca/news/canada/th… Maybe you and your partner should live here for a couple of years first before commenting on corruption in Canada, and especially in Quebec.

The UK Parliament welcomed President Zelensky with a standing ovation. This applause is not for one man. It is for a nation that refuses to kneel. For people who wake up to sirens and still choose to live, to fight, to endure. President of Ukraine stands there today as the voice of millions of Ukrainians - their pain, their strength, their unbreakable will. We are deeply grateful to the United Kingdom and to all our friends who stand with Ukraine.

U2 has released a new track, Yours Eternally, recorded in collaboration with Ed Sheeran and the Ukrainian band Antytila. Do you like the song? "Yours Eternally is written in the form of a letter from a soldier on active duty with a bold, mischievous spirit to match Ukraine's," the band said in a statement. The Ukrainian Defenders of the 13th Khartiia Brigade, as well as civilians, appeared in the lyrics video.
