My theory is that a lot of it has to do with the fact that we hadn’t had a NEW (non remake) mainline entry that pushes the CENTRAL RE storyline forward since RE6/REV2. RE7 & Village are great but they’re isolated happenings that feel disconnected from the central storyline.

@NaytNY @Solidrev I agree, they should have just reduced ammo drops and increased enemy aggression for hardcore.

@Solidrev Combat falls apart on hardcore imo, inconsistent enemy stuns, reticle bloom is terrible and dishonest, and the ashley sections are so much worse in the remake.

The Resident Evil 4 Remake combat system needs to be thoroughly studied & built upon.
