I should be very real for a second. I had fun at FWA but also I was pretty stuck in my head all week too. I was quite self conscious about my looks I I was basically telling myself that everyone looks better than me. Its been like this for the past few cons making cons less fun.

Dusting off the CV and Resume. Not sure what ritual materials are hip and in with the hiring gods of 2026. Haven't been paying that close of attention because as much as this job suffers me at least it still existed (and still does in this purgatory status).

Had first training today and met new team for job transfer. "It'll be fine" "You'll have fun" "It isn't that different". Meanwhile it all sounds rigid and weird. The one that took the cake "It is more about behavior management than academic outcomes". THAT IS BACKWARDS, NO, EWW.

My bingo card did not contain the opening slide in the all-staff meeting today at my school to have a gif of @FlukeHusky dancing in fullsuit alongside stock corpo/team pics, but that happened. Was pleasant, but now trying to figure out if an admin is furry or it was just random.

Well shit. Worst possible outcome. Reassignment to middle school AND outside my current content area. I'm so screwed

@AtherenZethere It is quite legal. They would probably throw me on an emergency license if that happens. I have a state license for subject(s) and age group, and it is pretty easy to bend those rules for at least one category ("temporarily"). And then just bandaids/pressure until I resign/comply

@VeonEevee Is that even legal to have you teaching something you aren't certified in? How does that not at least endanger their accreditation?

Job hunt time. My role has been sent to limbo indefinitely, but they can't get rid of me as an employee. So next year if I stick around I'm either teaching something I hate or something I'm not certified in.
