I have no delusions that Missouri won't go red again this election but I am holding out hope we can at least get rid of Hawley. The man's being campaigning actively on an anti-women platform for months, flying around with that KC Chief that told women to get back in the kitchen.

You were just explaining that AFTER parentheticals (and exponents) multiplication comes before division.

@VerdantStag @hiddenreplies12 That has no bearing on the final answer being 1 or 9. The difference is you’ll get 1 if you multiply first and 9 if you divide first. You are supposed to divide first because PEMDAS assumes you do the MD concurrently.

@hiddenreplies12 In the order of operations you’re supposed to do the multiplication and division concurrently. Work from left to right and solve any instance of multiplication OR division. So the answer is 9. If you wanted the answer of this problem to be 1 it should’ve been written fractionally

Some OSR people think should be calibrated to challenge level (ie level 1 is for 1st level pcs) and wilderness should just be totally random (ie "oh look here's 5 goblins", "oh look here's a red dragon"). This is just a weird artifact of early play that's not great, tbh. 1/2

It's not free. It's paid for by taxpayers. And why should people pay for the "free" lunch of other people's children? Feeding your kids is the responsibility of parents. And if there are cases of social disadvantage where some kids aren't getting fed then we have a welfare system that needs to deal with it.
