He cares about his unblemished record more than money. And he has $30 million liquid in the bank. Lives a modest lifestyle for someone with his net worth.
One thing that turns him off the most is someone trying to make a name off his name. He takes that personally. Right or wrong. That’s what he believes tom Aspinall was doing. If Tom was older, i think Jon’s thinking would be different. But he doesn’t want to make a younger fighters resume. As he said around UFC 151 you can’t take crazy risks.

Not the worst PR here. I mean $15 million is pretty good. The highest purse ever paid to an mma fighter that i am aware of is Ngannou in PFL. $15 million. Funny that what UFC offered Jon.
Khabib or Conor may have earned more than 15 but i don’t have that verified.
