As I always say, you have to take seriously that Marxists are genuinely offended by routine economic interactions that the rest of us are mostly unbothered by. I've never once thought that Whole Foods is stealing from me. Why would I think that? But the communist feels like this about *everything*.

You read this kind of discourse and it becomes easy to see how Marxist-style thinking comes to be... start with free-floating resentment and envy towards people who have more than you, and backfill this in with sophisticated-seeming ideology about how Actually THEY stole from YOU and you're morally justified in "taking it back (that is, killing them and stealing it for yourself)"
