Time for a science lesson. What you are seeing here are contrails. They are man-made, yes, but they are just cirriform clouds. Clouds are made of liquid water, supercooled liquid water, and/or ice particles. Good ol’ H₂O. Contrails are no different. Fortunately for you, H₂O is a chemical. In fact, all things that have mass and take up space are matter. All matter is made up of chemicals. Airplane exhaust indeed contains a few other things such as carbon dioxide (CO₂) and very tiny soot particles (which the water vapor emitted condenses onto before freezing). But those are natural byproducts of combustion that is really no different than what comes out of your car. Nobody is “spraying” aluminum into the air. Aluminum is the third most abundant element in Earth’s crust. Tiny particles of it get carried into the air by wind, then get precipitated back down as rain. It also may originate from industrial activities hundreds of miles away. Such particles will get carried downwind and end up in rainwater samples. I love a good conspiracy theory, but there is not one here.

Iran seems to be following a strategy of unveiling more and more impressive military capabilities as the war goes on. They just fired long-range ballistic missiles at Diego Garcia, one of the most strategically significant U.S. military bases in the world (hosting B-52 bombers, nuclear subs, etc.), nearly 5,000km away from them in the middle of the Indian ocean 👇. Diego Garcia has never been hit before in any war in its 5 decades of existence, and no-one knew Iran had these types of capabilities (Iran themselves said their ballistic missile range was limited to 2,000 kilometers). Two days ago, they also took down an "unkillable" F-35 fifth-generation fighter jet, something which has never happened before (militarywatchmagazine.com/article/footag…). They've also managed to take control of the world's most strategic oil chokepoint, and have proven they can hit any strategic target in the wider Middle-East, even the most protected ones (such as Israel's Haifa oil refinery: aljazeera.com/news/2026/3/19…). All in all, it sounds almost unbelievable but Iran appears to have a genuine form of escalation dominance over the United States military, with its trillion dollar budget. In a very real way, it's even more impressive than Vietnam or Afghanistan: those countries resisted a superpower, Iran appears to be competing with one. It also makes you think: what comes next? And that's exactly what escalation dominance is all about: keep raising the stakes until the other side blinks. It's about making Trump think "wait, I thought I was picking a fight with the skinny kid and turns out he's Bruce Lee."

Americans, not the Chinese, fund and sustain thousands of humanitarian organizations that feed, clothe, and treat millions across the globe. The infrastructure of mercy in the world runs overwhelmingly through American institutions, American donors, and American networks. Those who work with America after it topples dictators can build bright futures (Germany, Japan, South Korea). But if their religion drives them toward destruction, then America can’t help them (Afghanistan, Iraq). Where do persecuted people flee? Not China. America. Where do people risk everything, families, savings, their lives, to reach? America. Where can you speak, build, dissent, and still have a future? America. As long as the United States remains the primary architect of global order, everything can be fixed.

I think this is grossly overestimating Iran’s abilities. They hit the F-35 which later landed, not took down. All we know about the missiles that were fired towards Diego Garcia were that one failed and the other was intercepted by an SM-3. The US and Israeli airforces have flown hundreds of sorties since the start. That the Iranians were able to strike one plane needs to be put into context. The US has A-10’s and C130 gunships operating in theatre now which shows you how confident they are in terms of air dominance. The Strait of Hormuz is the one of two areas they still are able to affect any damage, the other being their ballistic missiles/drones which is still in the fight.
