I’ve talked plenty about how absurd the Shai on/off numbers are.
But maybe this is the better question:
If defense mattered enough to hold Luka back…
Through the playoffs, OKC has been 20.4 points per 100 possessions better defensively with Shai OFF the floor.
Why does OKC suddenly become the 2004 Pistons when he sits?

What a load of crap.
Don't gaslight the fans for what they see in SGA - a supposed MVP who falls and acts like he got hit by a truck upon every single contact.
Every single one. Dude acts like he's 150lbs and literally can't handle any physicality whatsoever. This isn't about the number of calls he gets, this is about the dishonest way he plays the game.
If you want the blame to go on someone in their coaching staff for getting all their players to play like weasels to cheat refs to sell every call, you can do that, but don't tell the fans they are corny for expressing what they see.

All the SGA slander has become corny. He finished fourth in free throw attempts per game on a team that was 17th. He's as close to a throwback player as you get: a (mostly) inside the three-point line scorer who can beat you a bunch of ways. He gets calls, yes. Gets fouled, too.
