@whitelunick idk how to describe it, but the combat in this feels like the natural evolution of bump combat or what the Napishtim trilogy was cooking

@VerminMischief It feels like they finally got the right balance between the old and the new with this one. As much as I like 8 and 9, I’m glad they seem to be embracing some older sensibilities here

There's a part in Ys X where you have to sail your ship straight into a whirlpool and it's the most SNES JRPG ass thing I think I've ever seen represented in 3D

@whitelunick yeah exactly same. the demo up to the first big dungeon was good, but then that first dungeon hits and it keeps getting better from there

@VerminMischief I purposely avoided everything until the demo dropped, and I liked the demo quite a bit but it wasn’t until after the first dungeon that I was all the way locked in. I feel like it just keeps getting better too

Don't wanna just keep glazing Metaphor every 5 minutes but I really have not played a JRPG that has had me by the balls this hard since Xenoblade 3
