When configuring HP BIOS, what are people using? Is the BCU tool still valid, or do you use the PowerShell module? #MSIntune

@Vern_Bateman @miketerrill Honestly, I'd recommend managing it yourself. The process is pretty easy with recent updates. You can easily do Step 1 & 2 in your environment with almost zero effort. Step 3 you can schedule for Q2 of next year after you've done your testing and updated your boot processes

@Vern_Bateman @gwblok @SeguraOSD @dan_felman HPIA doesn't seem to mind very much, in my experience. We delete troublemaking softpaqs willy-nilly from our offline repo after every sync and our deployments are no less reliable for it.

@gwblok Hey Gary. With your Offline repo for HP driver packs, is there anyway of manipulating what is in the offline repo after it's been created. Meaning, how would I remove drivers that are not applicable to the model (ie Nvidia graphics, etc) thanks.

@gwblok @MattWreede @dan_felman @SeguraOSD I'm in the same boat - using the offline repo packaged as a normal package - then sending out to machines. Its quite big for some of my locations.

@gwblok @SeguraOSD @dan_felman Understand Gary - thanks. David I wish it was that easy, I'm talking about the softpaq exe's that are in the repo. I'm sure those are referenced in some xml or cab file.

@SeguraOSD @Vern_Bateman I'm pretty sure it's just that easy. I'm pretty sure there are ways you could modify the process to download less in the first place, but I doubt I'll get around to looking into it anytime soon. @dan_felman has a script that might help.

@GarthMJ Hey Garth, is there any support for the right click tools from Recast - I'm getting event errors in the application log when the admin console closes. No errors without Recast installed. I just updated to the latest version of RCT just to make sure. Thanks.

@gwblok @dan_felman @Geodesicz @HPSupport It's the issue with building the offline repository (your script) this SP151672 cannot be downloaded. (not on HP's site)

@Vern_Bateman @dan_felman @Geodesicz would be good ones to talk with if you're having issues with HPIA or HP CMSL due to a softpaq, otherwise if you are having issues with a softpaq from website, (or any reason really) @HPSupport

Remove the catalog - or add it back to the FTP site.
