Hi everyone! I’m in the casual division and usually place relatively high in the tournament (end top 20 when I compete, but never win out, highest was 5th multiple sets ago). At the moment, I’m in the top 4. In case people are suspicious about me being Emerald early on the set, I’d like to give you a breakdown of how my games look both on and off stream ——- Stream 1: all placements on stream (17) Stream 2: bot 4’d 7 out of my first 8 games then turbo spiked midway and ended up a decent amount of LP (25) Stream 3: top 4’d a bunch of games in a row and hit Emerald — ALL ON STREAM VOD IS UP (13) 17+25+13 =55 (92 total games - 55 = 37) I have 55 games on-stream and 37 off-stream I plan on streaming my climb to Em 2 tonight —— I have NOT been coached yet this set: I personally dislike being live coached because it’s usually insanely stressful and I’m not great under pressure so it’s an ineffective learning style for me ➕[ HOWEVER, I think people in beginner and casual absolutely should use the resources provided by the bootcamp & take free coaching if it’s offered, it makes a big difference in how you play+think. Obviously there’s a difference in being told what’s good to do vs conceptual coaching, but it’s the first week of the set, let’s chill out? Most people have no idea how to navigate new lines because it’s brand new! Being live coached doesn’t automatically mean cheating is happening? Unless it’s super blatant, yeah, but automatically thinking that is crazy] — not saying OP’s post is saying this, but some comments def are. ❌ however I think it’s SUPER sus doing your placements / games off stream with a duo who continuously bot 4’s. Hmm. Interesting. _____ Anyway, you’re more than welcome to check any of my vods. It’s all just me malding or looking down at my tablet. I also vocalize pretty much all my thoughts and decisions when I’m playing! I DO PLAN on having vod reviews though. I streamed my last two coaching vods during the BoxBash & plan to stream any new vod reviews coaching as well** _____ If I am playing off stream, I am almost exclusively playing on my tablet in bed in the dark OR I’m watching bootcamp friends on my side monitor while I play, I DO NOT get backseated in any of my off-stream games because I have an ego the size of the moon and want to hit ranks myself _____ If you’re curious on what I do to study, I wake up and just watch educational higher elo players play (Sologesang, Dpei, leDuck, etc. whoever is online atm) — I ask myself out loud what choices I would make and see if it matches what they do Also metatft + tactic tools for stats on items+units really helped for direction ——— I’m not entirely sure if people are thinking this about me, but if they are, you are more than welcome to ask me questions, I’m happy to answer I’ve peaked Masters 149 at my highest last set, but was pretty much stuck at 0. It was also my first time hitting masters in tft. There’s multiple people in casual who hit low masters or high diamond so I don’t think it’s that crazy I’m in casual.. Iast set, I placed I think 16th? Or 12th? I can’t remember entirely, but it wasn’t top 10 If you don’t think I belong in the camp or I don’t deserve my rank, feel free to speak up. I’m happy to prove otherwise :smile:
