We are on ULP strike. We gave @nytimes management months of notice of our strike deadline, we made ourselves available around the clock, but the company has decided that our members aren’t worth enough to agree to a fair contract and stop committing unfair labor practices.

Another alternative to Vertex I found: nodes-game.com Looks like it's playable on desktop, mobile, and they have an app version for iPhone!

Good news!!! Someone recently sent me this site which recreates past Vertexes! For now, it seems like it's only playable on desktop, not mobile. To undo a move, hit backspace and to remove a line, right click it. helloworld-1839.github.io/vertex/

@suejax The morning routine definitely feels incomplete without it!

@VertexArchive Miss Vertex in the morning as I would use the calming puzzle to organize my thoughts. Then I could have an easier go at some of the other NYT games (and News).

A note about this account: I'll be leaving it up for posterity and for anyone who'd like to go back and see past puzzles. I'm trying to figure out another way to share the archive in a more easily searched format. If anyone has website/coding experience, send me a message!

a side note on today’s final puzzle. if you’re new to vertex you may not know, but this is an homage to a puzzle from early 2020 by @NocaWu. it diverges in some ways to signify the progress and end of vertex, while also coming full circle.

sad to see it end. thanks to @samvonehren and the @nytimes designers for their work in creating vertex and for bringing me on to design puzzles. thanks to @thegridkid for so many amazing captions. a special thanks to everyone who made vertex part of their day. goodbye #vertex 🫡

@VertexArchive Can you please open the game up to an archive like Wordle? I found Vertex late in the game and it’s become my nightly anxiety calm down before bedtime, and I’m really going to miss it! I’d even pay extra (I already subscribe to @NYTGames!)!
