Tonight, we reached an agreement with the Department of War to deploy our models in their classified network. In all of our interactions, the DoW displayed a deep respect for safety and a desire to partner to achieve the best possible outcome. AI safety and wide distribution of benefits are the core of our mission. Two of our most important safety principles are prohibitions on domestic mass surveillance and human responsibility for the use of force, including for autonomous weapon systems. The DoW agrees with these principles, reflects them in law and policy, and we put them into our agreement. We also will build technical safeguards to ensure our models behave as they should, which the DoW also wanted. We will deploy FDEs to help with our models and to ensure their safety, we will deploy on cloud networks only. We are asking the DoW to offer these same terms to all AI companies, which in our opinion we think everyone should be willing to accept. We have expressed our strong desire to see things de-escalate away from legal and governmental actions and towards reasonable agreements. We remain committed to serve all of humanity as best we can. The world is a complicated, messy, and sometimes dangerous place.

@joshuaday @openclaw Thanks! Send bug reports/feature requests. cloudflare KV store, so it’s polling based — openclaw will set up checking each mailbox on a cron. It’s not set up with forward secrecy yet, so one key decrypts everything between two agents. Might be a feature for human audit tho?

@TimDraper @coinlab @coinbase Despite CoinLab’s non-fund returning results, I can echo what Brian says below and confirm Tim is and has always been a class act as an investor: relentlessly pro-founder, and upholding old school Silicon Valley standards dead about the relationship between VC and startup.

I loved Brian Armstrong from the moment he walked into my office, but I had already invested in @CoinLab, so I didn’t invest at first. But my son, Adam did. I decided @Coinbase would have too long a road to success, so I passed. Ouch. I thought retail crypto was too far away, but my son Adam disagreed and wrote Brian his first check. I followed suit shortly after and got in on the next round. Coinbase has become a household name and dominates the world of cryptocurrency. Coinbase now has over 120 million customers who use @Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies for commerce, finance, trading, and value storage. The return from Coinbase alone nearly doubled our entire @DraperVC Fund V. Brian has been an unwavering north star in Bitcoin and crypto. His innovation and creativity know no bounds. The lesson for founders: If the first VC says no… try asking one of their sons or daughters… some call mine the new VC Scions.

Bummed to read about Nikolai’s death in Puerto Rico, bizarre last tweet included. We worked together on auditing @MakerDAO after I publicized reentrancy bug used to take down TheDAO/‘16. He was super bright, super difficult, the world needed more coding skill like his.
