After a two week vacation when the Senate took drastic measures to prevent Trump from making any recess appointments, they finally reconvened at 3 pm and what did they accomplish? They agreed to vote tomorrow on 2 judicial nominees, approved a “Mental Health Awareness in Agriculture Day”, and passed a resolution honoring former U.S. Senator Donald W. Riegle Jr. That it. That’s all they did and they adjourned at 6:27 pm. They go on vacation for two weeks, set a return time of after 3 pm, clock out a few hours later, and call it a day. This is what we pay them for? This is how they earn lifetime pensions? We don’t hate our own government enough but specifically @LeaderJohnThune @SenateGOP Vote them all out!

This an awful, shocking case.
Henry’s loved ones have gone through the trauma of a long trial and endured Henry's killer making up appalling claims about their son who was thoughtful, kind and deeply loved.
It is right that the IOPC is investigating the police’s response to his senseless murder. And we must end the cycle of tragedy by tackling the horror of knife crime.

Henry Nowak was kind, thoughtful and much-loved. His life was stolen from him, leaving his family and loved ones devastated.
The bodycam footage is harrowing. It’s absolutely right that the IOPC is looking at this. There are serious questions for the police to answer.
