Anyone brave enough to take chocolate away from the staff room? 😂 Any small change would YOU actually try in your practice? 🩺💭

We all know the vet practice survival kit: emergency chocolate + yet another coffee just to make it through the afternoon 😅 It gives a quick boost… but let's be honest, it's not exactly fuelling our long-term wellness. Time for some sneaky upgrades?

Not banning the junk food treat days…but raising awareness of better options for us at the end of a long shift 😊

A mindful colouring book or mini zen garden on the table for skillful hands Gentle "please take phone calls outside" vibe in the staff room

Other tiny swaps that add up: Swap the shouty radio for lo-fi café beats or chill playlists (we already play calming music for the cats so maybe for us too?)🎶🤔

A couple of hardy, low-maintenance plants in the staff room (real ones, not plastic!) can literally help reduce stress. Bonus: they look nice and might even survive chaotic coffee spills 🌿

Idea that probably won't make me popular 😂 What if we turned "Stand-up Day" into a real thing in the staff room? Plug in the TV / USB / YouTube → 10–15 min of stand-up comedy during a quiet moment. A proper belly laugh drops cortisol faster than you can say "ehh next consult".

I just had a client for 1st vaccinations with... 12 years old dogs (2 of them!). Never vaccinated, no flea and worming treatment, not spayed... When I said she needs to come for 2nd vaccs, the owner replied "She's tough" 😂 Still need one more, even the tough ones 😉😁

Lymphoma is the most common malignancy in cats and a very frequent diagnosis. It has a range of presentations that poses a diagnostic and treatment dilemma to the clinician. buff.ly/3LQ7H8P

@trainingVDS In day to day busy clinical environment vets do not have time to reflect. They're expected to perform, see the clients on time and finish consult within 10-15min.

Please guys can you NOT advise the clients to count drops when they apply ear meds? It means they will not do it correctly and just drip from a distance, meaning poor penetration into the ear canal.
