@CanadaRoast Manmade climate change. Canada with the exception of Quebec allows spraying our forrests with glyphosate, which dries out the trees. Huh some climate change.

We tried to raise concerns about this years ago. Ontario’s forestry policy has allowed the continued aerial spraying of glyphosate across parts of the boreal forest to suppress deciduous species like aspen and birch in favor of conifer regeneration. Now Northern Ontario is facing another devastating wildfire season: more than 100 active fires, evacuations, homes lost, and smoke spreading far beyond Canada’s borders. Air quality alerts and hazy skies are affecting not only Ontario cottage country and Toronto, but communities across much of eastern Canada and the northeastern United States. Wildfire risk is complex. But forest management decisions deserve serious scrutiny. Many fire ecologists have noted that mixed forests containing more deciduous species can be more resilient to wildfire because trees like aspen and birch are generally less flammable and can help slow fire spread. Conifer-dominated forests, on the other hand, can support hotter, faster-moving crown fires under the right conditions. So the question needs to be asked: Are we managing our forests primarily for timber production, or are we prioritizing long-term ecological resilience and community protection? Quebec banned forestry use of glyphosate in 2001. First Nations, environmental organizations, hunters, and many northern residents have repeatedly called for a re-examination of Ontario’s approach. The smoke from these fires is a reminder that what happens in Northern Ontario doesn’t stay in Northern Ontario. It affects wildlife, tourism, public health, local economies, and millions of people living hundreds or even thousands of miles away. How many more summers of smoke-filled skies will it take before we seriously reconsider how we manage one of the world’s most important forests?

We had quite a night last night. Small fire started just north of town right at the time we got hit with crazy wind. One of the fastest growing fires I’ve seen. So many friends had to evacuate. I’m on the other side of the river. Hoping they get control now that the wind died 🙏

BREAKING: An Iranian regime account is now claiming Iran assassinated Senator Lindsey Graham! They just released one of their state sponsored IRGC LEGO propaganda videos showing what is supposed to be an Iranian hiding outside of the Senator’s home late at night and then breaking inside and triggering a cardiac arrest. The video ends with the Senator dying inside an ambulance and a person checking the name “Lindsey” off a checklist. The checklist says “Laura” is next. This is a direct reference to me. Last weekend, the IRGC publicly called for me, President Trump, and Lindsey Graham to be assassinated during Khameini’s funeral in Iran. @FBIDirectorKash the FBI should provide security to those who the Iranian regime is now promising to assassinate. I feel like my life is in danger from the IRGC following their threat to assassinate me because I support the obliteration of the IRGC and the war with Iran’s Islamic regime. I support freedom for the Iranian people.

Alexander Dugin, one of Putin’s advisors, recently called for Senator Lindsey Graham to be killed. He said the world would be better without Graham. Yesterday, Lindsey Graham was in Ukraine meeting with @ZelenskyyUa Zelensky and called for more sanctions against Russia and pledged more US support for Ukraine. One day later, Lindsey Graham is dead. There needs to be an investigation!

Did Russia just poison Lindsey Graham? There seriously needs to be an investigation. Russia just sent a delegation to Khamenei’s funeral in Tehran where the IRGC and funeral organizers was calling for myself, President Trump and Senator Graham to be assassinated. Lindsey Graham was in Ukraine one day ago calling for a Russian sanctions bill that he claimed the White House supports. Now he is suddenly dead from a random illness according to his staff. Did Russia just murder a US Senator?

Devastating flooding has forced hundreds from their homes and damaged roads, businesses, crops, and critical infrastructure across the Swan Valley, Parkland region, and south-western Manitoba. Conservatives echo MP @DanMazierMP's call for the federal government to be ready with the support and resources these communities need to recover and rebuild. My letter to the Prime Minister 👇
