Saint Viator Baseball retweetledi

Baseball is hard.
That might be the understatement of all understatements.
At its core, baseball is fundamentally a game of failure. And when you are driven to be the best you can be, set high standards for yourself and demand excellence, that failure can take a toll mentally.
You can be told a million times to “focus on the next pitch” or “flush it”, but there’s no denying that failure affects us all to a degree. Learning to manage failure is a skill, a skill that even professional athletes struggle with and take years to “master”.
Bottom line … Mental Health is REAL.
For players.
For coaches.
For everyone.
May is National Mental Health Awareness Month.
Check on your teammates.
They may need you more than you know.
