What's the weakest reason you've ever heard for someone taking a sickie from work?

@sainsburys I have the same problem as many of your customers today, I’m unable to check out . I have swapped from my phone to my iPad but I’m unable to log in to my account on my iPad as I have not received a code to my email , I have tried multiple times. Infuriating

@NatashaMDay I’m an AAP , I had to go coroners court last year , along with two other paramedic colleagues. It was a very long and stressful week. Not something I would ever wish to repeat. Thankfully, as you say , documentation is key , and thankfully due to this and other logs made

A man with a suspected heart attack was told he could be waiting nearly two hours for an ambulance. His wife faced a difficult decision as emergency services were delayed, putting his life at risk.

@furbabygirl They actually do . I see many RTC caused by older folk , mainly due to poor eye sight , cognitive impairments , reckless driving inc drink driving

22% of accidents were caused by drivers over 70. So that means 78% were caused by drivers under 70. So why are they being singled out? Most older people don’t take drugs or drink over the limit. They don’t speed or overtake recklessly. As usual Labour getting it wrong.

@paul43471534 @HelloKizzy2024 Not true. They do their private work away from their NHS contracted hours . It has no impact on NHS wait times at all.

@HelloKizzy2024 Yes a friend had to have a new hip waiting list also a couple of years on the NHS the same surgeon did it private for her in a few weeks 🤷🏻‍♂️ is this the problem ? NHS surgeons doing more private work meaning longer waiting lists.

My parents have to pay for private ear syringing ,private foot treatments ,private dental care , private Glasses even though they have paid into the system their working lives . Yet someone can enter the uk illegally and get all those services for free 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️😂

@meandmyopinions @HagwithAttitude You were a teacher . You would have got sick pay . Also people need to take a bit of responsibility for taking out health / sickness polices incase of accident or unable to work . Why should the government pay everyone for not working ?

@HagwithAttitude I was knocked down, broke my leg in 3 places, had several operations to correct it, went to PIP interview with my leg in plaster from the hip down, and they said I was fit for work 😂😂😂

So applying for PIP (was DLA) then, our experience.. I filled in forms, took Husband to interview, spoke for him, because, he can't walk, talk, read or write, but he was REFUSED it, and deemed for for work! And they think the people making the decisions know what they are doing??
