@teslascope The Rollout Path: Tesla pushes "maintenance" OS updates (like 2026.20.6.1) to the wider fleet to keep everyone's security and platform features synchronized, while the actual v14 Lite FSD logic is being gated behind a separate, slower release track to ensure stability

@teslascope 2. Why haven't you received it yet You are currently in a standard "staged rollout" delay: The "Early Access" Filter: As officially confirmed by Tesla’s VP of AI, Ashok Elluswamy, FSD v14 Lite is currently limited to the "Early Access" group.

@teslascope The FSD Stack: Tesla pushes the FSD logic as a modular component. When your car is ready for the v14 Lite upgrade, it will receive a "push" that updates only the Autopilot component, regardless of whether your OS is at 2026.20.5.1 or 2026.20.6.1.

@teslascope Google Gemini: 1. Firmware vs. FSD Stack (The Clarification) The Firmware Version (2026.20.6.1): This is your car's "Operating System" version. Being on a higher firmware number (.6.1) than the "Lite" release version (.5.1) does not mean you have been skipped.

I coined 'Simple Human Assisted Advanced Driving System' (SHADS) to describe my use of FSD, which often requires my intervention. Unlike ADAS Advanced Driver Assistance Systems that FSD was supposed to be.I hope HW3 FSD improves someday until then it's SHADS and irritating.

Grok - Hardware Bottlenecks: HW3 -100W power draw, 144 TOPS compute, and 8 GB RAM / HW4's 160W, 3–8x power, 16 GB RAM, higher-res cameras vs. HW3's subpar. HW4 has real-time renderings (e.g., blind-spot viz, pillar cams) that HW3 can't emulate without slowdowns or feature cuts.

Grok - Behavioral Tweaks in v12.6.4 emphasizes smoother, human-like driving, which translates to slower merges and lane changes in cities Reports on X note “timid” behavior, like pausing at empty intersections or decelerating for minor obstacles (e.g., parked cars)

Grok’s answer for Safety Bias in HW3: Speed Cap Logic: FSD caps city speeds at ~80–90% of the limit (e.g., 32 mph in a 40 zone) to account for potential obstacles, especially on undivided roads. This is hardcoded to reduce liability risks as Tesla nears unsupervised autonomy.

I turned to Grok to understand my Model S with HW3 12.6.4 behavior in City streets vs Highways. Grok’s 3 areas for the behavior limited by Hardware 1. Urban Complexity conservative AI 2. Behavioral Tweaks -timid hesitancy 3. Tesla likely configured FSD with safety bias

FSD needs improvement on the following issues: 1. Changing lanes even in Chill profile when approaching a turn just 0.2 miles ahead with many cars infront (video attached). 2. Randomly changing to the left/speed lane without accelerating and then slowing down.

Non-zero intervention driving: Model S HW3 1. Turning lane: Hesitant; partially enters, then retracts before fully after 50ft, confusing rear traffic. 😵‍💫 2. Randomly slows down. 😠 3. Changes lanes further away staying on current lane, turn or exit is just 0.2 miles ahead 😧

FSD issues resolved. I had problems with my Model S HW3: drifting toward the center lane and driving slower speed. wheel alignment and replacing the tires, the drifting issue was fixed. Autopilot settings from early collision warning to medium, which resolved the speed issue.

FSD does something both stupid and cool. It couldn't distinguish between a lane into a building and a turning lane (stupid), but quickly corrected itself by returning to the original lane(cool) and then making the actual turn. The driver behind me was confused

After updating my Model S HW3 to 2025.14.9 last Friday, 1. sluggish doing 10 miles slower than posted limits, 2. Severe left lane hugging rear wheel climbed curb in a roundabout 3. Lane changes are irrational 4. Stops 500 ft before the red light 🚥 4. Direct sun disengages FSD

I updated to 2025.14.9 on my Model S HW3, and FSD feels sluggish. On a 50 MPH road, it drives at 40mph. Is this due to neural architecture software learning from videos, no improvement? It still hugs the center lane and stops 500ft before red lights confusing drivers behind.

FSD on my HW3 Model S is generally good. 5 categories of issues 1. Constantly hugging the left lane and running over the divider buttons 2. Indecisive at lane turns 3. Way slower than posted limit 4. Random & Dangerous acceleration when not safe 5. Gets too close to skinny bikes

My Model S with HW3 always drives very close to left line frequently running over reflector buttons and during left curves it’s dangerously close to oncoming traffic crossing the left line marker. I got my cameras and wheel alignment checked. But this problem persists.

@Tesla Everything is good only HW3 Model S except Since 12.6.3 to the latest 12.6.4 (2025.14.3.1) left bending lanes the car runs on the road marker buttons and sometimes to even crossing the lane. Video attached. The same road Autosteer beta is much better centered.

@AskPayPal @ConradiRobin I can't agree more how frustrating dealing with PayPal can be. I'm not a regular merchant just an individual and was selling my phone on Swappa. The buyer requested a refund and I can process because my balance is less than the original amount due to PayPal fee.

@AskAmex The Premium rental protectionit is misleading that you advise to decline I had to pay $850 from my pocket to the rental car company. It is a terrible experience to deal with hard ball auto claim companies and AmEx service is no where to help. I’m canceling my membership
