The museum will be closed from Monday 19 August to Friday 23 August while we install a new exhibition, Cardomania. We will reopen on Monday 26 August at 10am.

This week is National NAIDOC Week. Our museum includes important stories and histories, in the spirit of truth telling. It begins with an artwork by Gary Saunders, acknowledging the Country we are on - the traditional lands of Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung. and the story of our museum.

Today is IDAHOBIT, the International Day Against LGBTQIA+ discrimination. This flag, on display in our museum, was used by Victoria Police LGBTQIA+ Liaison Officers (LLOs) during community outreach events.

We will be closed on Thursday 25 April for the public holiday and open again Friday 26 April.

An Anzac tradition with an illegal past. Anzac Day remains one of the only days that two-up can be legally played. The game was popularised by soldiers during WWI. This two-up set was seized by police in the 1970s. Visit us to learn more about policing during world conflicts.

Have you been to our museum and met Eric? This week we hit a milestone of 10,000 visitors, and our bomb disposal robot is a crowd favourite. The Echina Mark 1 was used by Victoria Police's Bomb Response Unit between 1989 and 2007, nicknamed 'Eric' by the Special Operations Group.
