@HMRCcustomers what is the current backlog opening letters? I have sent letters regarding me having not lived in the UK for the past 2 years. Mail is still being sent to my old address in the UK.

The problem is that this is just looking at ways to make contractors pay, not reduce liabilities at all. The same stalemate will still exist after this review and the umbrella companies are not discouraged at all.

@LCAG_2019 Of course it would help. The promoters are responsible here. He doesn't want to look at them because HMRC has focused on the victims and he will always be HMRC, even though retired. You could not get a more compromised reviewer. How could he be independent?

The supposedly independent #McCannReview shockingly dismisses the idea of pursuing promoters “We can argue that HMRC should have gone after this promoter or that promoter…but that doesn’t help someone who is sitting at home worried about the bailiffs coming round”. Yes it would!

There is no way that anyone being harassed by HMRC for the Loan Charge would recommend @ray_mcann55 as an independent reviewer. He worked a full career in HMRC. His mate was hassled by LC victims because he inititiated the LC. He is a decent man but this just isn't right.

@LCAG_2019 @jamesmurray_ldn Perhaps @jamesmurray_ldn would be so kind as to clarify which #LoanCharge campaigner put forward @Ray_McCann55's name for the independent LC review lead role. He is about the least independent review chosen yet. Wait awhile and maybe Jim Harra or Mel Stride will be free?!
